Team

Richard Marquez, President

Mr. Marquez is an international business consultant specializing in the development of mineral  resources in the Americas. From 1989 to 1996 he was active in Venezuela consulting for several Canadian mineral exploration companies, including: Ballatar Explorations Ltd., Athlone Resources Ltd., and Frontier Pacific Mining Corp.

In 1997, Mr. Marquez was instrumental in the sale of the Las Cristinas gold concessions by his family members for US$ 30 Million.

Following the sale of Las Cristinas, Mr. Marquez has consulted for Roca Mines Inc., Stikine Gold Corp., Canarc Resources Inc., Rokmaster Resources Corp., and Canam Mining Corp. as the current President. Mr. Marquez was further instrumental in raising funding for, and the acquisition of, several exploration & development mining projects in Venezuela, Peru, Canada, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, and Colombia. Mr. Marquez is a citizen of both Venezuela and Canada.

John Mirko, Founder and Consultant

Mr. Mirko has 40 years of extensive experience in the mining industry and is currently the President and CEO of Rokmaster Resources Inc.

From 1986 to 2010, Mr. Mirko was the founder, President, CEO, and Director of several Canadian public mining companies. Since 1977, Mr. Mirko has carried out business as a mining contractor, consultant and prospector involved in the exploration, development and construction of numerous mining projects in 11 countries and the commercial production of mineral concentrates and products from five of those projects.

Mr. Mirko is a member in good standing of the Society of Economic Geologists, Inc., the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum and the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.

As a founder and Director for nine years with Roca Mines Inc., Mr. Mirko oversaw the acquisition, permitting, construction, and commercial production of the 500 tonne per day (expanded to 1000 TPD) underground mine and concentrator – “the Max Mine” in southern British Columbia.

James (“Jim”) Oliver, Ph.D., P.Geo., Chief Consulting Geologist

Dr. Oliver has more than 38 years of mineral exploration experience specializing in global mineral deposit evaluations and early to advanced stage project valuations, with particular emphasis on belt, regional and detailed geological mapping programs, lithologic, structural and alteration mapping, Archean (in Venezuela, Tanzania, Quebec and Ontario) and epithermal gold, porphyry copper-molybdenum-gold, SedEx and Ree mineral systems, worldwide.

Dr. Oliver served as Senior Geologist for Teck Resources from 1992-1995 and V.P. Geology for the Hunter Dickinson (HDI) Group of Companies, where he was instrumental in the successful acquisition of several mineral projects and deposits while providing leading edge geoscience on a diverse range of deposit types. He has worked on 5 continents, in over 35 countries and examined or worked on approximately 400 mineral occurrences or deposits.

Dr. Oliver served as Senior Geologist for Teck Resources from 1992-1995 and V.P. Geology for the Hunter Dickinson (HDI) Group of Companies, where he was instrumental in the successful acquisition of several mineral projects and deposits while providing leading edge geoscience on a diverse range of deposit types. Dr. Oliver has served as a Geological Consultant to major mining companies including Placer Dome Inc., Falconbridge Limited, Esso Minerals Ltd., Homestake Mining Corp., Agnico Eagle Mines Limited and Taseko Mines Ltd., as well as numerous junior companies including Northern Dynasty Minerals, Great Basin Mines, Continental Minerals, Santa Cruz Silver, Colorado Resources, Impact Silver, Dundee Precious Metals, Sun Metals, Serengeti Resources, Detour Gold Corp., Skeena Resources and Rockwell Ltd. and to government geological surveys.

He is an active member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientist’s of British Columbia and The Society of Economic Geologists, Inc., and winner of the CIM 2014 Barlow Medal.
